What We Believe

We believe Jesus is Lord and Savior of the world. Jesus Christ is the Messiah and was born of the virgin Mary. We also believe, He was sent by His Father to be the ultimate sacrifice for mankind, due to our fallen and sinful state. He lived a sinless life and fulfilled His purpose through His life, and His death on the cross. Therefore, He died for all of humanity so that we might be reconciled to the Father.

As prophesied in the Old Testament, He rose again and ascended to heaven. Scripture teaches, He will return again for His bride the Church. Because of Christ's sacrifice, Believers are in right standing with the Father. Subsequently, the Holy Spirit has been sent to be our guide and comforter until Christ returns.

We believe that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one, yet individuals. All Christians are called to witness to the unbeliever the gospel of Christ through their lives and their spoken words. The Bible is the Word of God and studying it is the best way to know Him.

The Christian life is a work in progress, with the goal of being more Christ like. Each Christian needs to take responsibility for and work out their own salvation so that they may become spiritually mature. This can be done by renewing the mind through the study of scripture. This can be done also by interacting and socializing with God through prayer and quiet time. Additionally, maturity will come by having fellowship with other believers through conversations, activities, and meetings. We will be held accountable for how we live our lives.

Anyone can change and be changed through Christ and His love. We believe the God we serve is all powerful, all knowing, and always there.
